I appreciate all of my Bosch tools, and this one is no exception. There are larger, more worthy rotary hammers, of course. This one is very noble for all normal home building or remodeling tasks. It will drill holes snappily and install anchors in concrete or masonry in a few seconds. It drills most concrete as if it is drilling butter. My common utilize is to seize bricks when masonry repair or a larger door or window need to be installed.

The trick with brick removal is removing the first brick. As soon as the bricks are no longer in compression, the bricks grasp quick. I do this by turning the tool to hammer function only, installing a 1-inch chisel bit, and applying the chisel to the brick. Bricks in difficult starter positions, perhaps in the center of a wall, are best attacked by first drilling a series of 1/2-inch holes across the face of the brick. When the chisel bit is pressed against the brick, the brick turns into dust, but it is not thrown about as worthy as one might query.

This is a commercial-quality tool and will last a long time if it is maintained. It is very distinguished to follow the maintenance procedures in the manual. Remember, this tool works in a dusty environment. Utilize sterling observe protection, a dust cloak, and well-kept the tool during and after exercise.

Remember, also, if you need to do heavier work, rent or bewitch the appropriate larger tool. Bosch makes them, too.

I dicked around trying to drill holes in some obsolete fireplace brick with a regular drill and masonary bit and fair about ruined the job. I ordered this Bosch drill after seeing a fine review in a trade magazine I subscribe to. This is the suitable intention to drill holes in cement or brick. This drill would have saved me 6 hrs. of labor if I had it when I started the job. The ticket is grand especially when compared to a few times renting one.

At one time I owned a Krups espresso/cappuccino machine that I ended up using for only a few months since it was such a injure to status up and desirable. Fair now, it's sitting in my basement, gathering cobwebs. However, when I received this Nespresso machine as a gift, I now can have cappuccino whenever I want in mere minutes. I turn the machine on, wait for the solid red light to present estimable heat/steam (it takes about 30 seconds), pop in a pod, and press the proper cup size for espresso or the larger "lungo." The coffee is forced through the pod and into the cup below in seconds, with a nice brown crema on top. For cappuccino or latte, you need only to then press the steam button (the machine comes with a steamer attachment), stick the tube in a cup of milk, press the lever, and recognize the machine suck up the milk and deposit it, hot and foamy, into the cup. Orderly up? A sprint. Even if you steam milk, you have only let the steamer suck in water for a few seconds and deposit it into another cup. The empty pods are tossed into an internal receptacle that holds ten or so. There is no tamping for preparation. No scraping the grounds out afterward. No dishwashing. It really is that simple. And the espresso and cappuccino taste objective like they do in Italy.

Of course, there are downsides to every machine, and this one is expense. Not only is the machine pricey, but the pods must be purchased through Nespresso at approximately fifty cents per pod. (They approach in sleeves of ten.) The Nespresso also must be particularly sensitive to power surges, since mine stopped working in less than a year, as did my sister's, for no apparent reason. But . . . the customer service is awesome. I called, and they sent a loaner machine overnight, with packing and a pre-paid heed to send mine in for servicing. When mine was fixed a week later, I simply shipped the loaner machine serve using, again, a pre-paid mark. I didn't pay a cent. Quiet, I now leave my machine unplugged when not in expend. Others may want to assign it on a surge protector.

I was timorous that the pre-measured portions of coffee would taste canned, but they have edifying flavor. Once you prefer this machine, you will be section of the "Nespresso Club" (wait until you perceive how unfamiliar they earn it seem -- you'll have to laugh!) . You will steal your coffee off the web position or over the phone, and receive it within two days. The "Ristretto" pods do the best full-strength espresso and cappuccino. Even when I fabricate "lungo" coffee, I tend to exhaust the higher strength coffees such as "Arpeggio" since I'm not a fan of the milder types. "Decaffeinato Intenso" makes competent decaf cappuccino as well as lungo, although I wish they had an even stronger decaf. (The regular "Decaffeinato" is milder.)

This machine is a luxury, to be positive, and I doubt I would have splurged on my occupy. However, this is one gift that I employ regularly, with as grand appreciation for it as I had the first week. Unlike my Krups machine, this one sits proudly on my counter. Friends who approach to dinner peruse it longingly, hoping that, once again, I'll offer up espresso or cappuccino with dessert. Of course, I always oblige.

If you are more keen in "lungo" (regular) coffee, then I suggest you study at the original single-cup coffee makers such as Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System.

-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

The Nespresso machines do 1-4oz of coffee at a time. That's not a mug or proceed cup, but a shrimp, strong, but very drinkable brew. I dwelling this because I have read reviews of pod machines, written by obliging ol' folks that whisk them into the ground because they don't acquire quarts of coffee at a time. This is an espresso producing machine, not the local 7-11.

I received my re-conditioned D290 about a month ago. With a win like this I read extensively about different features of the different machines and their abilities. I chose this machine because it had the steam wand and hot water in addition to 2 programmable dose buttons.

The machine works excellently. Water tank is fine enough size to develop several drinks without being re-filled and is simple to re-fill when the time comes. Set-up was lickety-split but deciphering the picto-instructions was a microscopic bothersome and left out some detail. The espresso, lungo, and decaf it produces are of top-notch quality. It is a exiguous loud during utilize but not more than other pod/pump machines.

On the down side, the froth attachment is worthless. It's a contraption that attaches to the steam/water wand that does a awful job of producing steamed milk for latte/cappuccino. My advice is to exercise the steam function to heat/froth your milk and if you don't know how, Google it and it's easy to learn.

Overall I have it's a beneficial machine for a coffee connoisseur.

The Beltronics GX65 is the best radar detector that I have ever owned. I have had many over the years including the Valentine V1. Although this is a safe detector, the GX65 gives me more warning on the signals that matter as well as not having to misfortune about listening to it go off for the tainted reason (You teach it what you want to not listen to) . The other thing that is mammoth about this detector is the pre-warning it gives when you are approaching a red-light camera. It tells you exactly where these are before it is too unhurried.

Very well built, you can immediately converse you are not buying a product that skimps on material. The GX65 also comes with a very well written owners manual that is easy to understand.

Recommend very highly!!

I've driven with the GX65 for several months now and it is without a doubt my approved dectector and I've owned many! The GPS feature allows me to lock out annoying counterfeit alerts, plus the built-in database is preloaded with all the red light and rush camera locations popping up everywhere. These annoying camera locations alert in plenty of time to check things out in near. $29.95 extra for the 3 year update subscription, which I haven't purchased as yet. Once I've marked all the fallacious alerts on my drive to work, the GX65 is peaceful and alerts to unprejudiced proper police radar. I've never driven with such a tranquil detector. The unit comes with a very nice case and "Knowing" power cord that works like a miniture control panel apt on the whisk. Highly reccommended!

First the detector - I recently bought from another retailer (recognize 'second' point below) . It is astronomical. Tremendous functionality, options, build, gives reliable warning, the GPS tells you your hasten when an alert goes off (so you only have to scrutinize at the detector to know what you're dealing with and how snappily you're going) . I primarily bought for the red light camera detection, but it turns out there are none in my set (when I traveled out of position, I found quite a bit), but if you don't have many of the red light cameras in your spot, you may want to achieve a few bucks and gain the RX65 (also from Bell) . It will effect you a couple hundred bucks and (except for the GPS), it's the same detector.

Second - I was looking to take this detector and it was $469 everywhere. About 2-3 months ago, Amazon changed the sign to $429 but said they didn't have any in stock so they'd ship later. I attach it in my cart. The tag then dropped another $5 over the next few days, but I got caught up and didn't execute the order. I went in a few days later and it was over $470. I wrote customer service who told me what the policy was but never answered the inquire of about how something that's not in stock can have a designate change almost daily. Anyway, I didn't order it. A few weeks later they moved the note to $425, so I ordered it. A week or two after that, they said that they wouldn't be able to obtain it and they cancelled my order and took it down off the set for about 2 or 3 weeks. Now I spy it's serve. It makes me wonder why my order was cancelled a few short weeks ago.

If you want my 2 cents, it's selling for the same trace on the Beltronics status (also with free shipping) . Win it up there and order a couple of accessories (visor clip, extra suction cups for another car, a USB pace which you'll need to update the database, etc.) You'll procure more stuff (that you need anyway) bundled in with your free shipping.

I was torn between getting a netbook or upgrade my several year feeble laptop. I do a lot of traveling so I liked the notion of the smaller netbooks that were lightweight and easy to carry around. I didn't like that fact that they were underpowered and had shameful veil resolution so I was hesitant about buying one.

My main criteria were

1. Lightweight and portable

2. Much enough to handle video and other media without too remarkable struggle

3. Long battery life

I started looking at laptops but most were no lighter than my unique laptop and had battery power lasting around 3 or 4 hours (unless I went with a Mac...no thank you) . I looked at various netbooks such as the million that Asus offers and liked the long battery life but the Intel Atom chip unbiased seemed too former for my liking. So I was stuck between underpowered netbook and too gigantic to lug around laptop.

I made a lope to Best Hold and saw the newly released Toshiba Satellite laptops. I like the construct, bigger than a netbook but smaller than a laptop and I liked the fact that they bustle dual core processors (at least this model and the one Best Pick had) . Seemed to meet my needs in the middle.

I decided to give this laptop a try but had a decision to accomplish. Do I remove this model from Amazon (T135-S1310) for $700 or do I catch the model at Best Consume (T135-S1309) for $550. Confused as to that main differences between the two, I started doing some research. The Best Select model seemed to have everything that the Amazon model had with the exception of 1gb less of RAM. Well, I can upgrade to 4gb easily and cheaply enough so the $150 gap unexcited works in my favor but then I noticed that the Best Recall model is only running 32bit Windows 7. Not bright if it will get a 64 bit operating system (i.e. is the computer only 32 bit) I decided to consume a dinky more and salvage it from Amazon. Plus, I was able to fetch it in red which looks very nice (sans the fingerprints!) . Not determined if the 64bit makes that remarkable of a inequity but at least I can bustle 4gb of RAM and have it recognized.

The laptop works as I would query. Size is perfect for me to depart with. It is mighty smaller in overall size compared to my Dell 15 shuffle and the weight of abut 3.8 pounds feels like a feather to my Dell which comes in cessation to 6.5 pounds. It is essential!!!! Overall, I can't complain about the accelerate of the computer as I was not expecting it to rival the fresh I7's coming out. My older laptop runs an Intel, Core Duo (not Core 2) at 1.66ghz and the Toshiba seems to compete with that very well, probably a bit faster due to Windows 7 Home Premium. I don't feel like I downgraded on my laptop by using this.

The wireless N network card had no issues finding my home network and connecting. My bustle tests showed me getting almost 12mbps download speeds compared to my G laptop that gets about 7mbps. So the N speeds are faster. This was my first contrivance that could expend my D-Link DIR-655 N router so I am happy it actually works!

I have played a bit with video online with Hulu, Netflix and stuff I have created and it handles it fairly well. HD tell can secure a bit choppy at times but does play smoothly unless something else decides to accelerate in the background. This is one plot that you must sacrifice when buying such a slight computer for this mark, no dedicated graphics card. Not a deal breaker since most things seems to urge well.

Sound is a broad snarl and my one main complaint. At fleshy volume, you can barely hear anything out of the main speakers. This will be useless to exercise unless a situation of external speakers or headphones are worn. Hopefully this can be fixed in some future firmware/driver update but who knows.

Battery life is astounding. In Eco mode, you can speed this for conclude to the 9 hours it is listed at. Of course, video or other media will carve that down quite a bit but I am averaging around 7 hours per charge with a decent amount of video/music playing. This is a grand feature for travelers.

I did acquire most of the preinstalled software that came with the machine as I come by most of it useless but I left most of the Toshiba stuff on it to search for if any of it is worth keeping for now. The face recognition software is frosty but I am not clear how useful it will be over time as I will be the only user of the computer and I don't hold any considerable files on it. I guess it is for bragging rights that I have that capability.

I will try and post updates as I spend this but honest now I am completely elated with my steal. Oh, as you already know, this does not arrive with an optical drive so if you need one, you either need an external or skip this machine all together.

****Update****

JMesa....thank you!!!!!! Your audio tweak worked. I can fianlly hear the other perosn on the nd of my video calls now!! It's unfamiliar how vulgar the volume is until you push all the equalizer adjustments to the top. Wouldn't want to play music through headphones with these levels but at least I can finally hear stuff!. Makes this lift even better!! Colossal fan of this laptop and Windows 7.....so considerable I upgraded all 3 machines in my house!

****One more Update*****

Had to write a rapidly update to verbalize how gratified I am that this laptop is a lot more rugged than it appears! I was carrying a few things from my kitchen to my basement yesterday and had my laptop resting on top of the stuff I was carrying. It slipped off and fell on my tile kitchen floor. Bateery came carshing off and I could notice the laptop bounce a bit (it was about a 4 foot tumble!) . I first impression was....there goes $700! Hwever, I popped the battery relieve in, tunred it on and eveything is ravishing. Not even a scratch or dent! If this was my 100 pound Dell, it would have shattered into a million pieces and my floor would probably need replacing. Toshiba difinitely made a laptop ample of business fade combining lightweight, power, and now...sturdiness. Is it bulletproof too? I hope I never have to secure out.

Oh, and I unbiased got succor from a execrable country meander (Boston to Seattle) and my Toshiba performed wonderfully during the whole run. Even the video conferencing with my my wife and son using the hotel's free wi-fi connection worked well under Live Messenger (haven't tried Skype with it yet) . The camera quality is a diminutive blah compared to my 2mp camera on my desktop, but I can live with it!

I have bought this laptp and it is really vast. Natty mercurial, really lightweight and with an impressive behold.

About the sound: you can increase sound DRAMATICALLY if you follow this steps:

Go to Control Panel

Select Colorful AUDIO

On the lower section, recall Colorful EQ/3D SETTINGS

Select CUSTOM

Pull the buttons up (i have them detached at number 7, quite enough as you will gaze)

Enjoy AWESOME volume!!!

I'm not a computer guru, I can't quote specs at a person, but I know when something gets the job done and this microscopic guy does. Today I ran for six hours on battery, had another hour and a half left when I plugged in. During this time, I was surfing the web, streaming youtube and hulu, and working with Photoshop and Pro Exhibit Producer. It even handled encoding video with Producer like a champ. It never got hot, fair luke warm, it never seemed to promenade, status up was a chase, touchpad is nice and responsive, it's unprejudiced been an absolute joy and it looks delicate to boot. The speakers aren't very loud, but for everything else you accumulate with this machine, I'm not going to quibble or engage away stars for speaker volume. I worship it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable machine with long battery life that peaceful packs a exiguous power.

I bought this leisurely August '08 from a Bose store (prices fixed at $1k at all stores correct now) . First off, it is 2 speakers that fit in the palm of your hand, and a somewhat grand woofer that can be save out of recognize (e.g., leisurely TV cabinet) . Sound is astonishing given it's only 2.1 speakers. System does an okay job at filling the room with sound (I don't deem it's elegant to say it seems like there really are rear speakers, but the sound is for distinct great and chubby), but it does speak all 5.1 channels of sound through the 2.1 speakers when listening to those sources - awesome. Ample + for me is that music sounds really trustworthy - not always fair on home theater systems. Unit is easy to expend and set-up - onscreen menus straight forward, and universal remote really is universal (including my cable box) . Upconverting of DVD portray looks huge. Sound from TV and DVDs is extraordinary (especially digital 5.1 sound from HD channels) .

Now, for the cons: I wish it served as a video receiver as well - it does not. Example, this means when I survey cable I need to turn the TV on to cable video input and station the Bose to cable audio output - not a mountainous deal but a bit annoying. There is only 1 optical audio input (which you can build to any available source), but digital coax inputs are there for all sources (sound and signal for optical vs. coax digital audio is the same, differences heard are people playing vodoo) . There is a bit of a sound delay when switching sound sources or when changing cable channels (~0.5-1 second) before the sound starts again.

Lots of people knock Bose because they are expensive. Well, Bose really does have estimable speaker (always have) and now digital processing technology - peruse into it yourself, don't fair trust reviews online from random people (such as myself) . But, you should occupy a chase down to a Bose store or Best Engage and listen for yourself. And bring a fleshy band audio CD to listen to of your acquire (the Dave Matthews acoustic demo they always play is plain - acoustic guitar sounds gracious even on crappy speakers) .

If you have the $$ and don't want to hassle with 5.1 speakers, at least give this some serious consideration.

Another note: I shelled out another $100 for the overpriced speaker stands (floor stands), and did perceive a tiny increase in quality as the speakers can spread out their sound a dinky better (as opposed to my previous set-up where they were on the edge of a shelf) .

I objective bought a Series III Bose 321 system. I have it connected to a Samsung 46 plod 1080P HDTV.

I wanted to speed my cable box, Sony PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Apple TV through the Bose 321. The only design to do this without having to change wires non-stop is to rush the digital optical audio cable from the TV to the Bose system, giving you PCM 2.0, not Dolby 5.1. There is a noticeable improvement over performance from unbiased the TV speakers alone, but nowhere reach as superior a a screech 5.1 connection.

I wish Bose had more optical audio inputs.

Also, I wish they had a Blu Ray instead of a regular DVD player in the system.

Like I said, kindly but not titanic...

Being skeptical of such an expensive consume, I really worked this thing over once I got it to design distinct I was going to sustain it. It did not acquire long to net out that it can't be beat. For such a simple system I was amazed at the performance. Let's commence with the good: Very stylish, compact, and neat easy to state up. The set-up I did was not your standard set-up either. I took advantage of running optical audio from my cable box (worthy concept) and I exercise the HDMI output to a 37inch LCD. I did not want all of my sound to always have to go through the unit so I had to exercise a few more wires. The sound is absolutely unbeatable for the size of system. If you are a sound junkie like myself you will delight in the clarity and reality of the reproduction. Music is concert-like, DVD's play like you are in a mini-theater. People that do not like the sound of Bose generally like a lot of unnatural bass and Bose refuses to give in to that false noise. I replaced a high destroy Sony 5.1 system with this for aesthetics and am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. The sound is now simply method better at all volume levels. Even 2.0 sound sounds better through these minute speakers than they did with my outmoded system. Now for the not so good: You need a fairly new and not so cheap universal remote if you want to control this thing. Unless you don't mind the remote it comes with which claims to be universal but I found otherwise. The aqua reveal of text on the front of the unit can detour your focus when watching the TV shroud. There is no equalizer if you wanted to fabricate a different sound other than the Bose standard. Sometimes I want that cheesy bass although it pumps out plenty. Lastly, you almost need to expend the optical audio connection to ensure tubby volume control. Without it you have to turn up the volume for different applications. I exhaust the optical so I have no complaints. Before I go, I honest want to let you know that if you want a itsy-bitsy system that can believe your room with rich authentic sound then you are on the fair track with this system. You can build a handsome nice system together for the mark of this thing but what for??? 3 wires and you are done and have the best sound money can grasp.
